The first single released from their album 'Rhythm And Stealth'.
The genre is established as the music video begins the electronic genre is introduced by low angle shots of tall buildings in New York City which provide the urban sentiment of the video, this is accompanied of shots of the hustle and bustle of the streets of New York.
The first shot of the actor illustrates a dark, creepy side walk where he is almost disguised into the shadows. As the video continues there are many point of view shots of the actor which show a delusional outlook. The man struggles across the streets with white people over looking and not helping the man in desperate need. This may connote the struggle of black people in this day in age as he slowly diminshes while making his way around the city.
The lyrics "Zulu nation here to stay" and "time to clear the floor to let the zulus rock" give an interpretation that the people of the African race are proud of their heritage and they are 'here to stay'.
Throughout the video the people of the city seem to treat the main actor as if he was some sort of animal; running away from him, pointing and avoiding him. This shows a great insight to the minds of those who are not what social policies tell us we have to look like, act like and think like.
To strengthen your analysis (at present it reflects only basic understanding) reference the notes you took in class whilst also keeping your analysis rooted to media concepts and theory. I gave you a work sheet for this.
