Props

The guitar that Laurence used while we were shooting the music video looked very much like this one. However he had personalised his guitar as his own by placing stickers on it, maybe this is to show what he likes and or what his personality is like. This prop was the most important of all props as it is in mostly every shot and is the main focus in which.

Another prop used in the music video was a hat, which very much resembles the one in the picture. At first I wanted Laurence to wear a top hat because I thought it would go well with the 'hippie' theme I had. Nevertheless this flatcap hat worked well within the mise en scene. I also think it made the artist look somewhat mysterious, which is alike to a few of the similar artists - Bob Dylan, Nick Drake.

Devil Sticks, like these were used a lot in my music video. I asked Laurence to play with them a lot to create some sort of motif for himself. This also related to the 'hippie' theme I had. I realised that when I had a few shots of Laurence playing with the devil sticks when the shot was either slowed down and fastned up it still worked well in my video.
